WHAT IS A PROSTHODONTIST?
Prosthodontics is the advanced dental specialty of restoring natural teeth, and creating and placing natural-looking substitute or prosthetic teeth.
A prosthodontist’s professional education includes several additional years of specialized training beyond the four years of traditional dental school. Many of today's remarkable accomplishments in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry are due to the achievements and research of the prosthodontist.
YOUR INITIAL VISIT
While every visit to our office is essential for your overall dental health, you’re initial visit is particularly vital. When you see us for the first visit, Dr. Wieser will perform a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of your dental needs.
A thorough exam is the first step in determining your individual treatment plan. We spend as much time listening as we do examining you. Because we strongly believe that education is a cornerstone of our practice, we'll take all the time you need to answer your questions.
It is important that we allow time to ensure your complete understanding and comfort with your course treatment. Therefore, please allow thirty minutes for your initial appointment.

TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction):
We use a conservative approach to TMJ therapy through the use of functional appliances.
